Faultless timekeeping was a vital element during the early American railroads, which not only transported copious amounts of material but also helped to shape the American dream into a reality for many people. Accuracy and on point precision was provided by Hamilton with pocket watches that honored the precision required by the transportation system.

In an advance to revive our historical railroad time-keeping roots, the new Railroad Pocket Watch combines American mass production techniques and advanced micro engineering to bring you a timepiece that encapsulates the horological originality and perception of our early pocket watches. The limited edition creation has a finite 917 pieces, a number chosen and inspired by Hamilton’s old factory address on Columbia Avenue in Lancaster, PA.

A 50mm stainless steel case and white enamel-like dial integrate the spirit of our vintage railroad pieces, with red 5-minute distinctions along a fully graduated, outer minute track; oversized Arabic numerals; black lacquered hands; and a small seconds counter at 6 o’clock, all characteristics that echo our beginnings in precision and punctuality.

A notable engraving on the closed caseback marks our brand anniversary with the words “130th Anniversary Railway Special” to honor the thirteen decades of Hamilton, founded back in 1892. Hand wound movement operate the vintage style timepiece in a true representation of the historical pocket watch detailing’s and its incredible ETA 6497 50 hours of power reserve offer a watch with outstanding reliability. To complement the timeless vintage features, a removable chain and leather travel pouch finish the overall aesthetic, whilst modern twists including innovative sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and 5 bar water resistance add contemporary attributes to our heritage pieces.
